, To grow new grass: You need to rake out the dry grasses if any and then put a layer of soil. Then you need to reseed (it is important to find out the type of seeds you need to match with the grass you currently have in your backyard). Seed, rake and water. Then water daily. If there are many spots to repair, you probably want to order some soil by cube instead of buying packaged soil.
, To remove weeds: It is no longer legal to buy chemical sprays. So manual work is required. Make sure that you remove the roots though, otherwise, the work is wasted.
, To fertilize: Make sure that you use a spreader for even distribution. Otherwise, brown spots might show up in a couple of weeks.
, To mow: Mow the grass the proper amount (depending on its type). Don't cut too much as more than 1/3 of blade at a time is not good to the grass.
That's about all. Hope this helps. |
