我是一位即将前往蒙城的新移民，希望来了以后读计算机专业的硕士生，可听说现在IT不是很景气，如果我想读的话那么哪所大学比较好呢？蒙大，康大，麦大？并且选不同的学校是否L&B的多少会有区别，我需要在国内做些什么准备呢？TOFEL是否是一定要的，推荐书要几份呢？是否需要从国内带个硬盘呢？教材有必要带吗

None of them is good.  I got a degree from McGill but that is not sth valuable. Acutally, IT is not a good field in US and CA. Think about it...

Yes, if you go to McGill, GRE is mandatory.

good, enough to take CDs. Better to take laptop.
教材有必要带吗. If you are still student and know a lot about your research field, not necessary. if you have been working for long time, some chinese materials might be very helpful.
