Commensal is the first vegetarian resturant in Montreal, now a chain.  In the old days, food are sold by weight.  Not sure how they operate now.  

I believe the way it works:  you go in and get whatever u want, coffee/food/dessert, then sit at whatever table with who ever that suits u.  Can go as a group too.  Any further question, call the resturant, they have done this for years (ages actually)!!  Have fun!!

*** Ladies:  Do not fall into the trap of "innocent cup of coffee".  If it is not someone u are interested, don't go out for coffee with them, nor agree to any dinner get together.  Do not give out your phone# if not interested. ***
