我母亲来加探亲已近半年,因我最近才生了小孩,身体也尚未复原,想给母亲延期半年签证,写什么理由好,是照顾大人还是照顾小孩。有哪位办过延期的,给点建议好吗？

I have the experience. Donot say anything about take care of you or child, even not mentioned you have baby born. You only need to say that Canada is beatiful, your mother likes it and  plan to travel some places she has not been yet in the comming summer. It is enough.
