请问常驾车去美国的朋友，加国公民从美国陆地出境(离开加拿大)， 是否需要留下出境记录？ 或者只需出示公民证/护照即可？

我目前不在MONTREAL，不过双方边关官员是要交换当天记录的，因为好计算离境天数，以便来日返来时根据离境天数来计算放行可以免税(DUTY FREE)带进的烟酒等珍品数量。

No any record. I went to US everyday via driving from Windosr to Detroit for several years and there was no any record. And most of the time, they even did not check any of your documentations including passport etc.

How do you know that US and CA customs exchange their records everyday?  
I am very curious. Are you working for customs or ....

As I know U.S customs don't seal on your passport but will scan your passport to input your info to their system - that is entry record.  For declaration purpose for wines or sth else, you just declare the date you left and calculate yourself, they seldom check again. As I know, nobody will be checked again by customs.

But when you enter CA, CA customs will scan your passport and input your entry record to system. So I think CA only have your ENTRY record if you pass the US and CA border.

can anybody recall when you left Canada via Vancouver, did they scan your passport and seal on your passport?
. }$ f: S  v3 |8 o" C* K) FI can't remember clearly, as I remembered, they do nothing, no seal, no scan. so they don't take your departure record, right?

美国和加拿大不是“交换当天记录的”，而是就是一个系统，直接连接的。也就是你一到达美国，加拿大就知道了。你回来，美国也知道了。
美加边境有太多的高技术手段，不是我们能取巧的。
