To some degree you are right. We can understand his anger and desperation, but his action made himself a real tragedy.
  
One the other hand, the "brilliant" ones, male or female, should learn a lesson from it: when you are seeking something new, don't forget to say "good bye" or make a reasonable excuse the old stuff. Remember, there are always some guys who dare to do awful things when he feels humiliated.
   
   Life is so beautiful, let's enjoy it and show our respect to others'.
