I am not able to read the email from my friend in China. I installed the Chinese language (Chinese simplified (GB 2312, HZ, GB 18030). But I still can't read it. Please help!!!

Which OS have you installed? Win XP or win 2000?

Windows XP. Sometimes I could read some of the messages and the next time I get in, I could not read the exact same message.
I went to Control Panel... Add other languages and installed the "East Asian languages". But it doesn't solve my problem.
And then I go to "View", Encoding and tried out all the simplified Chinese codes. But it doesn't help at all.
