有大虾知道租客保险的事情吗？

多伦多的朋友租房的时候，房东都会要求房客购买租客保险。昨日，听老师说，租客保险还是十分必要的。如果盗窃，火灾等坏事发生时，房东的保险是不赔偿租客的。真的是这样吗？

老师说租客保险大概一月10$。有没有大虾有信息资料，请说说，谢谢！

比如，在哪里？如何购买？具体有没有必要购买？

Buy where you buy automobile insurance (RBC, TD, etc.)

Not that cheap -- quotes I got was about $350 per year. Not sure how useful it is and how important.
