In fact the Chinese community has become such a big part of Canadian cultural landscape. And the new year was celebrated with major public festivities in cities right across the country. Chinese Canadians played an important role for building our countries right from the beginning, from the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway to the development of vibrant Chinese Canadian business communities in all of our major cities.
