Yes I had a chinese nu peng you when I was in ShenZhen, we were together for 2yrs then she found another laowai and broke up. Guess she was too young and wasn't ready for a serious relationship like I wanted. (I'm 33 and she's 25) Sure it's easy to go to China and meet a girl, but it's not easy to meet the RIGHT girl. I don't want to date just for fun, I'm looking for someone serious to build a future with, a family with. So I'm thinking maybe it's better to find someone already in Canada, for many reasons.

That's funny. I offer translation and interpreter services to companies and individuals who go to China or want to do business there, I don't know where you get "special agent" from. It's my company, so I don't see the problem of posting my link here to show pictures. I have nothing to hide. Oh I understand now. It's because my job title in the Navy was "operations specialist". Actually the job is radar operator, I sit in front of a computer and see if planes are coming etc. But I understand why the job title might confuse some people. I am NOT a government agent haha. And I am not in the military anymore, I did my 4 years and got out. I enjoy my freedom.

Anyway, I'm a nice guy who's looking for someone who's honest and sincere. I'm not looking for "fun", I seek a serious relationship.

Btw I'll be going back to University part time starting in September (Concordia) to start working on my second degree (Finance), will also go part time in Sept 2008 and plan to be full time in January 2009. So would be nice to make some friends who also go to Concordia.

Since I was gone from Canada for 15 years (13 in USA and more than 2 in China) I don't know many people in Canada, so making friends here would be nice (girls and guys is fine).

In my opinion, your experiece is scary to the women you want to seek in one aspect because they will perceive your intention to find a Chinese mate as the means to fininsh your unfinished business with your ex,ie your repetition compulsion. If not,why not look for women from your own culture,who have more advantage as far as compatibility is concerned.

I just came back from Malaysia, was there for 6 weeks vacation. I'm still single and looking for the right woman. As for "trying to replace my ex" that's nonesense. I simply prefer chinese women and culture, having lived there for years it's what I've come to love and appreciate. It has nothing to do with wanting to replace my ex.

Loving a culture and loving a person from that culture is different. A woman with due respect for herself would find it hard to accept that this man wants me because he likes the place where I am from. Interestingly, many Westerners who seek Asian women are typical malechauvinists.
