CIA? 还是CIK？网络电话的好处是便宜，不用受BELL乱收费的气。缺点是你必须要有网，最好是没网络流量限制的网

是CIA, 它的网站上信息太少了, 看起来如果申请它的电话, 但是不租它提供的ATA, 好像就是免费的了, 而且没有合同, 随时可以取消, 所以想试试. 我对CIK的没兴趣, 还不如我现在用的ACANAC呢. 就是觉得ACANAC要一下交一年的钱, 稍微有点不爽.
我的网是没流量限制的, 所以从来没关心过语音的流量. 我没研究过voip的语言编码, 但是按道理来说应该不会占太多的带宽, 语音也就3.4K的带宽, 无失真采样也就是8K. 就算voip什么压缩算法都没用, 再加一些overhead也多不到哪里去, 比动辄几百K的BT或网络电视要少太多.

That's only a trick. YES, you can get a free phone number from the company. but every time you receive and make a call. YOU GONNA BE CHARGED. 4 cent for Canada. How expensive is it? that's only worth 1 cent. :rolleyes:

so which one do you mean? there no such thing like free voip. and diff. company gives diff. rate. You want to know how much. just go and find it.

- u need to subscribe to their long distance plan = $3.95+taxes per month
- 租它提供的ATA $4.95+T/month, buy ATA at $60+T

They claim their VOIP only uses about 100K but does not allow it on any connection less than 5M.  U can port your existing phone number to them, it takes 2-3 weeks per Bell.

I called and ask about their cable broadband, but 1G for Silver, 20G for Gold, 100G for  Platinum.   DSL is unlimited, add $5+T/month for dry loop.
