1.        97年, Toyota  corrola, Model SD. 跑高速时间超过1小时,踩刹车踩至停后,再踩油门车子不加速,( 踩油门时车子没有任何反应,发动机机也没有任何噪音)此时仪表盘上没有任何灯亮,并且方向盘和刹车都能用.此时需要把钥匙放在lock位置,. 重新启动, 常常需要重新启动好几次才能启动着.如果踩着油门启动比较容易启动车子. 重新启动后,一切正常. 走local或者短时间高速,没问题.


去toyota dealer,他们拔掉引擎上的一根管子, 然后再跑高速, 不再出现同样的问题. 由此他们断定EGR valve出了问题, charge me 450$ ( 309$ for EGR valve, 72 $ for labour, plus tax is 450$)


the EGR valve really has problem, I really need to change it at 450$, there is some other way I can deal with the car?

If the EGR has problem I want to do it by myself and need your help.

You should change it as I suggested way. If too expensive,
find a used one. INstallation is pretty straight forward. Dont
wrong installation, just find the part now.
