女权社会
In Quebec society, women are more dominant.
I have just gone through a divorce. I was originally from China, living here 12 years.
My wife has changed a lot since moving here. Feminism, is what I can label her.
For us, men, we get used to the traditional roles of husband and wife inside the family.
But here it is totally different. In Quebec, very low marriage rate and very high rate single-parent family is the result of this culture. Probably La Revolution Tranquille was successful due to the women's participation in that revolution that brought Quebec to today's society.
During the Revolution Tranquille, they got rid of the religion and give women more rights. But today this seems to go out of its original purpose...
I have seen some divorced Chinese women who have western boyfriends living, together. Some of these women own houses and their boyfriends pay rents. It is easy to change boyfriends though... Many of them have tried many.
This happens not enough to Chinese, but to Arabian women too.
For all other men that are still married, I just remind you that you may end up here 赔了夫人又折兵, if you are not careful in your relationship.
If you are not married, and would like to try the Quebec way of living, you should not marry and can have a lot of partners in your life. Marriage is a headache when it comes to divorce, separation of assets, child support. etc.
For me, I would think to remarry a traditional girl again, but not here. |
