刚从Toronto来到Montreal,想了解当地是否也有BALLROOM DANCING 舞厅。
本人交谊舞还不错，各种曲子都可以跳，希望能与热爱交谊舞，跳的好的朋友切磋，共同进步

please check dansesociale.info  and  tangoexpress.org and salsamontreal in google.com you can get some dance information. 10 years ago there were 4 chinese ballroom dance organizers and more than 100 Chinese dance lover in one dance party.But now  only 1 ballroom dance group exist in quebec province, the name is montrealjustdance. every year from Sep to May, they have 1 party in 1 month, and each party about 40 or less dancers there..and in summer from june to aug they will go to outside dance party in river side in La sale.the in theoutside dance party most dancers are foreigners and immigrants.If you like ballroom dance,,it is better in Toronto.as I know about 10 Chinese dance groups there . don't come to quebec,stay in toroto.

从蒙城华人舞界看，从Salsa 到 Ballroom, 愿意下功夫去学习华人们少的可怜，不少人指望在舞会上学一点， 结果到了舞会只能看。 越看越不会， 越不会只能越看，，，

不管是男生和女生，需要学习后方能上舞场，基本点吧。不少人忽视了这一点，比如打网球有人花钱去学，打高尔夫也花钱去学，为什么不花钱去学跳舞，这样你有了优雅，有了气质，更多了一个文化。

跳舞是一种爱好，也是一种修养， 人的 修养需要10年以上的时间打造。

There will be a big ballroom dance competition starting on Thur, Feb 12, until Sun, Feb 15.
there are many types of dances & categories,
ex. Standard, smooth, latin, rhythm,
amateur open of different age groups like junior, 16+, adult, 35+, 45+, 55+,
rising stars, professional.

At the end of Thur session, there will be performances by world champions.

Nice ballroom, good music, great dancings.

It will take place at the grand ballroom of Bonaventure hilton hotel.
Tickets for spectators are available on location.

The admission is only $8 per person. We will play all the popular ballroom dances. Thanks for all the responses!
I was lucky to be added to one dancing group and I went their ball-room dancing 2 times, but in the recent few months there are not so many activities, and it is a little embarrassing to go by myself.
Anyway, I hope I have the courage to go ball-room dancing alone sometime, like before when I was in Toronto. Maybe because Montreal is a new place to me so it seems a little intimidating sometimes.

No need to be embarrased to go by yourself.
Plenty of people do that.
It is a fun activity.

Similar to the previous post of dance party hosted by EDS,
there will be another this Sat, Jun 13.

In EDS dance party, the teachers will also dance with all party goers.
