——2004年9月达到了入籍的居住时间标准;

——2005年1月在Montreal递交了入籍申请;

——2005年3月回国，并一直呆到现在

——2005年6月20号CIC处理程序开始；

——2005年6月被要求补材料（照片签名不符合要求），7月材料补进；

——2005年9月申请被移交CIC Montreal 处理

——2005年12月接到通知要求打指模

——2006年1月在北京大使馆打指模（事前曾联系CIC官员，对方表示如在北京打指模，需要向CIC发一封信，告知CIC为什么要在北京，而不是加拿大打指模，而且还要提供一个我不在加拿大期间的联络人。吾本良民，也没有多想，就按照这个官员的吩咐做了）

——2006年4月指模鉴定结果由RCMP转往CIC Montreal

——2006年8月收到CIC的通知，要求我填一张编号为CIT 0171(01-2005) B，题为Residency Questionnaire 的表格，要我说明很多背景资料，包括登陆时间，居留地等等，并要求我将护照有出入境纪录的页全部复印并寄回。

我现在真的是晕了！为什么我的申请会遇到这么多的问题，为什么别人都那么顺？！

特别是现在这个CIT 0171表格，到底是怎么回事？

这就是传说中的背景调查吗？怎么让我碰上？！

填这张表是因为他们怀疑我的居留期限没有达到申请的标准么？可那是不可能的阿，我在达标以后4个月才申请，而且当时就已经把所有的纪录呈递给他们了

填这张表是因为他们不满意我这一年多来一直在国内吗？可加拿大的法律并没有规定说申请完以后哪都不能去，只能在加拿大呆着阿！

The law doesn't say after submitting materials you can't be out of Canada, but reasonably they will like you stay in Canada, at least did FP in Canada.
Finally it will be OK, but will take long long time.

You are unlucky ! I have same case with you.  I have been waiting for more than 9 months. I called the citizenship service center many times . They told me you might get the result between 1 to 2 years. The reason is only one person work at montreal office. The cic service center can do nothing.

别想的太多了，有时他们确实对谁的材料多想了一下，那你可能就要麻烦一下，没什么，按他们的要求做，估计在过几个月就可以了。

另外，据说要提供尽可能多的，翔实的材料以证明自己以满足了居住时间的要求（除了护照复印件之外），如成绩单、lease，银行帐单，信用卡帐单等等，并说这些东西准备的越多，越清晰，处理速度越快。

请问，您当时也是这样做得吗？

suggest you come back, or they will prelong to the limit till you're exhausted, they know you are taking the advantage of canada, so that is the way they treat you. you can not sue them , cos everything prosedure is by law. if you can not come back, just get a lawyer, in your case, certain amount of money must be casted, find a lawyer to take care of it, or you need come back.
