:p Once upon a time, there is a saying, “In heaven, there is a paradise; on earth, there are Su(shou)-Hang(zhou). Following these sayings, I visited these two towns a couple of times at my adulthood. Sadly, never a single time was I really inspired while I do like the gardens and ponds.
Time has so long ticked away … and that poem has become a remote memory and distant story.
It was not until my hiking and canoeing trip to Mont Tremblant a couple of years ago that revived my childhood dream of wonderland – I have finally found a real 苏杭 that my parents so passionately raved about, i.e. Mont Tremblant!
This wonderland boasts of fresh spring, splendid summer, flaming fall and majestic winter – and my dream unveiled its first uninterrupted passion for its magnificent white powders that I used for snowball fighting at the age of six… the awesome steep ski run from the top of 875 meters ( Kandahar that I found out later) was that much frightening, yet so tempting…. I want to be there too! That dream left me such an impression that I wanted to play the snow….

The mild weather coupled with the blue sky on Saturday 2003-3-15 greeted our arrival: One by one, we jetted down the awesomely challenging runs… excitement, fulfillment and ultimate joy amalgamated into the abundance of our soul and minds…
Our lunch break along the street benches in front of a live music band under the lazy sun recharged our batteries… back to Montreal our group buffet supper is as great!
Thank you -- Great1, Martin007, Daxigua, Kevin, Karma and Yiben … together we have transformed our dream into a grand chapter in our long journey of continuous discovery of hidden treasures in life. |
