Playing bridge is a type of sport.  Bridge has been popular in both Europe and North America over the last several centuries. In the past three decades the game of bridge has gained a foothold in China, especially since the French played in a diplomatic event in Zhong Nan Hai with the late Chinese leader Deng XiaoPin， Plaing bridger has gained popularity with the Chinese people.  This popularity of the game was further increased with the title of "Queen of a world Bridge contest" bestowed on the Chinese American Xiaoyian Yang. At school, in politics, business and amongst intellectuals, playing bridge has increased in popularity.  Currently bridge has become one of the most popular sports rivaling even the traditional Chinese game of "MaJiang"

The game of bridge is a term sport. Bridge is not a game of chance not a gambler'S Game. Bridge is a thinkers game and it can be enjoyed at different levels of proficiency.  Some folks just use the game as a tool for socializing, while others play the game competitively at local, national and international levels.  Tesachers can use it as a way to help students to comprehend logic deductions, mathematics and teamwork. It can also be used to teach statistics and probability theories.  Thus, this is the reason why the game has turned out to be a favourite among intellectuals.

Look at the world of some rich and famous people, like：Bill Gates owner and designer of the company Microsoft and Warren Buffet of Berkshire Hathematics two of the wealthiest people in the would today, if asked what are their favorite hobbies besides work, the reply would  be
"Bridge".  It is not surprising that one famous magazine found that a commmon hobby amongest millionaires is the game bridge.

各位,在此提供一个可能的活动场所(playing bridge), 蒙大Jean-Brillant 3200 大楼的餐厅(二楼), 那里有方桌,圆桌,长方形桌. 地址: rue Jean-brillant 3200.  如果愿意,可以实地考察一番.

How to get there:
1. 从cote-des-neige metro station.
   地铁站位于cote-des-neige 路上,顺着cote-des-neige 走(大教堂方向),碰到的第一条横街将是Jean-Brillant(若不是,那就走反了方向). 左拐(可以看到蒙大的主楼), 沿着Jean-Brillant走,将首先碰到Gatineau横街,然后是Decelles横街,再往前不远就是Jean-brillant 3200.

2. 从以前活动的场所(QUEEN-MARRY 5322)
   沿QUEEN-MARRY 向大教堂方向一直走到底,将碰到Decelles横街, 左拐, 沿Decelles走, 将碰到Jean-brillant,在两街交口处是51路汽车站,右转不远即为Jean-brillant 3200.

Another possible option is at 1650 Decelles, St-Laurent, short walking distance to Cote Vertu Metro. Madame Ye forwarded me an information about this place. And I just had a quick conversation with Mr. Xie, who is the pastor for this church place. Sounds like Mr. Xie is quite pleased to offer us room playing bridge every Sat afternoon from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. He is going to find out how many tables and chairs available out there soon.
Right now, I don't know for sure which site is better. We will see.

人多必要找到一个固定的场所才好.我想说大家如果约好两桌牌友,只要我在,随时可以到我这里来玩.至于花费与任何人无关,麻将桌总是要备的嘛.

This is a small world. Andrew Cha (Mr Xie) is my uncle.I just got off the phone with him that he would like us to keep the place neat & clean. Also please note that smoking is not allowed in his church. Is this going to be a problem?

However, we are looking for a place which can house three or four tables of people playing bridge together. And this place has to be very convenient for people to acess public Metro transports. Parking is also taken into account. Davidy has raised a good alternative. I guess we are still in the selection process.
