Java Web Developer / Delopeur Java Web (3 positions / 3 postes)
Scope of Position:

Reporting to the UI team lead, you will implement components of our product that enables our customers to visualize and understand the performance and availability of their web applications. Your experience in Java web application development, database queries as well as your understanding of usability and data visualization concepts, will be paramount in delivering key value to our product and will make you a valuable contributor to the team.


Specific duties:

?Participate in technology feasibility studies in order to help in making technology choices.
?Contribute to technical specifications
?Provide input to the system design, with specific emphasis on performance vs flexibility tradeoffs
?Implement presentation & business layer components using appropriate technologies
?Leverage third-party components when possible
?Participate and contribute in team technical discussions.
?Maintain code and fix defects when required
?Maintain appropriate code documentation

The successful candidate will have:

?University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields
?5 years of professional Java development experience, with strong emphasis on web technologies (JSP, Servlets, Taglibs, Struts, Tiles, etc.)
?Demonstrable exposure to large data sets: understanding of complex schemas, SQL query optimization etc.
?Good knowledge of J2EE application platforms (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, Resin etc)
?Excellent knowledge of web client technologies (browsers, HTML, Java, JavaScript, Flash, CSS, Java Applets)

Assets:

?Good understanding of TCP-IP and HTTP protocols
?Sun Java Programmer or Web Component Developer certifications
?Experience in data warehousing and data mining
?Experience with data visualization components and/or charting technologies, both client-side and server-side
