Just mail your personal check to china, it is cheap, the price is same as letter, remember to mail it as registered letter, it is more safe. I sent my check to my parents before, they had no problem to get money in China.

personal check is the cheapest way. besides postage, Bank of China will charge .1% of total amount. It takes nearly 3 weeks for USD or 6 weeks for CAD to cash your check.

registered mail can be traced, but won't increase safety. a safe way is :

estimate the date that your check will be received, then date your check after that day. in case your check is lost, you can cancel that check before the draft day.

I had used personal check(USD) twice. First time was OK. but second time was refused.My bank financial adviser tald me not use personal check next time.

I think personal check should be ok, Canadians are dumb with US account, I sent a USD check within in Canada, and they returned my check for no reason. they just told me the check could not be verified. I guess anything can happen, everyone tells different story even they are from same department.
