[: z+ r4 G s eTo study and document the existing databases, identify and document dependencies and data flow as well as redundancies, inconsistencies and other issues, and propose improved designs/plans to address issues in the existing databases and support future development.2 I/ s ?3 g* P9 @& c$ p4 R: F5 ?9 l; d% j

Responsibilities:
7 c# @; C& s& f5 V% w, ?1 X· Document the existing databases and system dependencies& u% m9 f" x$ t* B- ]. \
· Identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies6 s5 f, }2 S6 L- {! d9 T& ^
· Participate in the design phase of SDLC
; y/ D W3 p8 f$ c* {· Develop required database components3 j* s: J5 w: O6 k2 \ G
· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments
! M' c" N; |3 \ c! n$ L· Reviewing and documenting the existing SQL Server databases" ]" U* R+ b+ c/ | i0 x
· Identifying issues in the existing databases
Y+ Z; w9 z* `7 F" n· Participating in defining processes for measuring database performance: {& Z( z3 Z( [6 |; G# O
· Participating in improving database performance0 x. d& A( a1 L: C3 G4 |9 ]
· Designing/developing SQL server objects (Tables, Views Stored Procedures, Functions, indexes, etc)
- _+ ?+ s: B @- }/ [' c8 H5 \· Researching and analyzing available technologies to serve a specific business need

· Working closely with systems analysts and developers to support the database requirements. ' M$ I4 \: z4 t* `
· Overseeing the implementation of new systems% C& r3 K4 K' H7 r! d* f: ]
· Planning and working flexibly to a deadline
' \! K8 a/ R; s! ^· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments

· Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent work experience& b! L1 y4 b# b4 o
· Five to ten years experience in database development activities
" a) o# K# W6 V· A minimum of 5 years hands-on technical experience in database design and development
# _5 C6 `8 E/ t" G: m· Good background in database design in Microsoft SQL Server or similar DBMS
4 Q& x# h* C" ~) i1 O· Be proficient with document management tools 5 }5 N5 D# x/ @
· Full understanding of industry standards of the Software Development Life Cycle3 z! U5 b. c( G: _9 ~
· Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services ! k# o7 a3 P5 [+ F
· Experience and /or exposure working in projects ) \! \2 ?0 _7 X+ I
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
' N* S, c! |9 o9 H4 V· Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
