To study and document the existing databases, identify and document dependencies and data flow as well as redundancies, inconsistencies and other issues, and propose improved designs/plans to address issues in the existing databases and support future development.5 ?: d3 Y) Q6 V- v, M

· Identify redundancies, inconsistencies, and inefficiencies1 `. T1 b" c. W
· Participate in the design phase of SDLC, C+ _' n, x" N$ ~% z
· Develop required database components5 z& z5 ]2 t `* D/ q
· Keeping up to date with technical and industry sector developments
/ v: R+ R' I7 g! g' V· Reviewing and documenting the existing SQL Server databases1 d, D4 W1 ^# Z/ b/ C" `; P3 L
· Identifying issues in the existing databases
8 ~1 K0 B. D+ H9 X+ r8 G7 d· Participating in defining processes for measuring database performance Z- G! n: }, ~6 L
· Participating in improving database performance0 X& t/ z; H& b; `( I9 w
· Designing/developing SQL server objects (Tables, Views Stored Procedures, Functions, indexes, etc)# g% l2 u/ W) B$ _% n$ W& M
· Researching and analyzing available technologies to serve a specific business need. g7 H% s! ?5 j& U4 t$ J7 J/ c
· Identifying different options for potential solutions and assessing them 6 Z+ ]$ I5 ~: {
· Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems7 u8 [5 E* f6 ^; [0 \
· Working closely with systems analysts and developers to support the database requirements.

· Five to ten years experience in database development activities
, t6 y9 q" j6 _· A minimum of 5 years hands-on technical experience in database design and development" u7 P% X& j( i- i
· Good background in database design in Microsoft SQL Server or similar DBMS3 X! K3 M2 x0 Q5 Z D
· Be proficient with document management tools ; \( _# b) _1 O0 }5 X
· Full understanding of industry standards of the Software Development Life Cycle: g7 V/ |( P& D$ C, D+ |
· Experience with Microsoft Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Integration Services
7 j! d2 s0 F, M; X9 p· Experience and /or exposure working in projects % s3 i5 W0 H# a( s: d+ Y
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
! x- p8 ]- w& q# |0 ^: q4 N$ m9 K. E9 B· Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes
; f6 u4 z4 ?. p7 b· Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
