Bank of China can provide such service, but not in the small branch office as in your hometown. You should ask them to enquire the regional office for the process of issuing this financial proof.

Bank of China has a unified version of certificate of balance. Usually, it is written in Chinese followed by the English translation. So, you needn't worry about the format and translation issue.

Also, it's not necessary to exchange all your chinese Yuan to Canadian dollars. You can attach an explanation letter stating the exchange rate between these two currencies. That's enough.
