sad story. see? this is canada. it happens. air canada is a monopoly. complain? dont even think about it. this is not china. be realistic. the only thing we could do is to take this lesson. or you gonna lose more (time at least) before getting more frustrated. am realizing, once we decided moving here, we are supposed to face series of such realities, discriminations, red tapes... yet, as they say here, T's ur choice.

I also hate Air Canada for its worst service. But this time I still have to choose it for the well-known security reason, otherwise I will take Northwest instead of Air Canada. However, other airlines such as Japan..., Air China...are not so good as what we thought.

Just like your web name, you don't know what I mean exactly. It's SECURITY reason, not SAFETY reason. Security is not the same as safety. As to Northwest, nothing is good but its  really low fare - NOW the round trip for Montreal to Shanghai/Beijing is only $920. But under current circumstance, I won't take it. I have to take Air Canada with $1410.

me too. dislike preachment. esp. those offensive. I encounter such persons in China. with regret, i still meet such persons in Canada.

Air Canada, poor service. no body could help with this except we help ourselves. so be more careful. read thru clauses on tickets. western culture dont believe a man is born virtuous. instead they believe man is born evil. such they formed their value and society. so, if we did not realize this, we doom to pay some lessons. my perspective only.
