The calculation of financial aid is yearly. For example, the 2001-2002 year begins from May 2001 and ends at Apr 2002. There are three terms in each year, May 2001-Aug 2001, Sept 2001-Dec 2001, Jan 2002-Apr 2002.

If you qualify from the first term to the last term, you will get L+B, B and B for each term.

If you qualify from the second term to the last term, you will get L+B and B for the two terms.

Finally if you qualify only the last term, you will only get L+B for the term.

But if your stduy last only four terms, the L and B you will get will as follow:

If you qualify from the first term to the last term, you will get L+B, B and B for each term. And then you will get L+B for your last term of study in the 2002-2003 year.

If you qualify from the second term to the last term, you will get L+B and B for the two terms. And then you will get L+B and B for your last two terms of study in the 2002-2003 year.

Finally if you qualify only the last term, you will only get L+B for the term. But then you will get L+B ,B and B for your remaining three terms of study in the 2002-2003 year.

So you see, if your time of study is 4 terms. You will get the same amount of financial aid: 2 L+B and 2 B whenever you apply.

It is IMPOSSIBLE for you to get L/B because you are not Quebec Resident. If you are Fedreal immigrant and havenot lived in Montreal for 6 months (not include the period for full time student), u'r not Q resident. Be careful, you will go to school as full time student this Sepetember, if so, you will never get L/B.

I just checked the concordia's website,

in your case, you can get the loan and bursary, but, you should be careful of the deadline. that is 1st, Oct to submit your documents. (Please anyone correct me if I am wrong) You will be fit the Quebec Residency in September, so, you can apply your loan right after that day.

but, you will get that money a bit later, say about November something. another date, 30th June, only means that if you send your documents before that day, you can get your money right after September. anyway, you will get it, it's only a matter of time.

If I were you, I would not ask for pospone my tuition payment due time. just pay the Federal student fee, and when you got the Quebec Residency, they will return the right amount to you, you can either transfer them to your bank or leave it and pay less for your next term. it's not a big amount.

本人以联邦移民身份将于8月中旬来蒙城，读Concordia。请问各位过来人：
1． 如果按住满3个月才能取得魁省身份，是否意味着前3个月必须按联邦学生交学费并不能享受bursary?
2． 这前3个月的学费加上其它读书费用会有多少？
3． 3个月以后是否就可以按魁省交费，并具资格得loan & bursary?

拒我所知，中途是不可以变的，你最好早一点来，签好租约，满3个月，省得以后麻烦。
另外听说今年非要作学历评估，早一点来，你也好有准备。

各位，本人有个小问题，关于bursary,有的说每年可以拿到12000，有的说只有5000－6000（college），之间差别太大，请各位指教   :rolleyes:

我从魁省网站得知admitted by postsecondary institution都可获loan and bursary.
那位大虾有实践经验请赐教。
