You can easily check the McGill website:www.mcgill.ca
English test:Aug 5 & 14,7:00pm,Stephen Leacock building,room 219, nearby McGill bookstore.
If you can't pass Level Five (75%),you can only choose to take the TOEFL,Michigan Test,IELTS or Take Mcgill English Course. If you pass it(75 marks), you can directly apply for your further education, otherwise no way. So that means you don't need to take McGill English course if you have passed this placement test successfully. In fact, if you choose to take McGill English courses, it isn't still easy to get this certificate, because McGill has her rules that any of students in Level Five only have 60% chance to get this certificate, if anyone can get this certificate,it is not valuable. That is a truth. So it is more difficult than TOEFL. Actully, TOEFL is a easy test compared with GRE,GMAT,etc. On the other hand, this English Certificate of Proficiency can waive your continuing education and undergratudate education, exception graduate study, you can check it from McGill website.
The TOEFL scores of my friend jwas ust expired this June, so the staff at the McGill Continuing Education let her take this placement test this Aug.5.to prove her English level.Unfortunately, she failed, even though she has ever had a good TOEFL marks. |
