Again, if you have any question about this TOEFL preparation class or simply want to talk about it, please call me at 514 485 1192
or you can send me an email to xu_rh@hotmail.com
To many of you who have showed your enthusiasm, encouragement, and support mostly through emails, as well as web posts, towards the opening of TOEFL preparation courses specifically tailored for Chinese here at Montreal, I would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU.
From sources including talks / complaints / admission frustrations among friends, and posts at sinoquebe.com, I see an obvious need of such a class for Chinese students in Montreal, which is considered to be one of the best places in Canada to pursue studies.
Yet as to the 6 or 7 local language training centers that "claim" to have TOEFL classes (I found it is very likely that some of those TOEFL classes may only exist on their program brochures), their use of English to teach English, and more importantly, the lack of customization to address the Chinese-specific problems in TOEFL preparation, among other things , have turned us Chinese away.
I have spent the pervious 7+ years in US studying ( with completion of 2 US master’s degrees in different fields) and working, while immersing myself into the day-to-day American life on campus, at workplace and in social activities. Honestly, many of the contents that are tested in TOEFL exams have been part of my daily life. With my excellent grasp of English, oral and written, familiarity with American culture, my previous profound research on TOEFL, and my outstanding capability to teach English including TOEFL, I have found myself the perfect person to lecture a TOEFL preparation class for Chinese at Montreal.
That summarizes why I have created this topic.
If you have questions, contact me or post here. Thank you.
