I guess you(snowfish) must be a student in fall session. However, I am in winter session. Maybe from Sep.2001 on most of us need to take the CELDT, and from Jan. 2002 on most of us need to take the ESL 207 and can only select one course. That's the CS department. That's the Concordia University!!!

Well, when I first entered Concordia undergraduate, I was just to take ESL209, and I can take any other courses, though it's 3 years ago.

hi, everyone, what test do you guys talk about?
i am wondering! 45 minutes placement test or CELDT?
i used TOEFL to get the admission into john molson school of business, and i also need to get 6 credits from the english composition couses, so i have to take a placement test to determine which english composition course i need to take! anyone here once took a placement test?

    我是大学毕业，但已有好长时间没用外语，各位的贴子倒能凑合懂点，但口语和听力就不行，想学英语后再上商科大学。网上参考康大外语ENGLISH LANGUAGE INTENSIVE PROGRAM （240HRS/LEVEL）,不知我的情报况是否一定要从1级开始一直8级,我能直接上新概念三册,但口语上过初级(最近二月在国内上过)
是否有其他更好的语言学校,我只是想效果好一点,花一些钱节省时间也是一样的
请各位务必指教,我是新移民,收入不多,只想安心全心学习,再另想其他

I took the CELDT in Jan.5 and got 400/3, they are both in the level of marginal. But the overall assessment is only 3(3=low, 4=marginal)and was asked to take ESL208. I don't know why the overall assessment is so low, shouldn't it be 4? Should I argue with the English Department? If I got a 4, is that possible that I can take from ESL209? Anybody can give me some advice? Thanks a lot!
