All inclusive packages usually are for 7 nights (or occasionally 8 nights) or 14 nights. There are very rarely 10 days vacation packages for these destinations. Also, it is better to stay in a 4-star (or higher) hotel. Generally, Cayo Coco and Varadero are favourable destinations. Good luck!
If you have a Canadian passport, you may also want to look for vacation deals for beaches in Mexico or Dominican Republic. If you hold Chinese passport, then you are better off with Cuban destinations (with Chinese passports, you may have to apply for a visa for travel to Mexico or Dominican Republic), and it usually takes a long time (sometimes months!) before you could get a visa, and the worst of all, it is not guaranteed that you will get a visa!
$1,500 for 7 nights is too expensive!!! It happens only if you book now for the Christmas season. But if you plan to depart before December 23, go and check the websites I recommended 4-5 days before departure, you will find much better deals. It should be below $1,000; sometimes, you could get deals at about $500 plus taxes.
I would like to go, but I am only available from 22 of Dec to 2 of Jan. From my experience, it's best to celebrate christmas eve or new year's eve there. They usually offer some special events and luxury meals during that time. I also know few good sites where we can book good deals (around $1400 per person). If any one is interested, we can book our package together.
