The topic sounds interesting, but in reality senseless. Since the middle 90’s the telecommunications has become a global technology. You really cannot compare one country’s telecommunications advance with another’s. A different country may have its own focus in terms of R&D, manufacturing, and market.
I have known that today's telecommunications services, both wireless and Internet, in China are not imaginable from the point of ten years ago. However, regarding the investment in R&D for new telecommunications such as broadband wireless and wireless home networking, China is still far behind those traditional western countries.
The next foreseeable telecommunications service will be the wireless Internet access in the car. Let’s wait and see which country’s company first sells this kind of product and which country’s operator first deploys the product, and which country's customers first enjoy this service. |
