[网络] 高速上网的问题

ok, well with Bell it really depends on how far you are from their "Central Station" Which is a relay station in different areas. I get 120 - 125K on average and i'm less than 1km from the Central Station.

Videotron and Bell go through different networks but in general if you are accessing a site that's across the world you are gonna get some lag.

Also with Videotron, if you already have the a cable line in your place, then you are ok, otherwise you are kinda screwed. Plus you have to sign a year contract or otherwise you wouldn't get the 45 per month price.

I have friends that have cable and I've gotta say, I like Bell more. I've always had good experience with them

Hi Guys,

Here is the test result I did just before by using Bell Sympatico "High Speed" speed testing page, but the interesting thing is my connection is dial-up(56K Modem), but I got 82 kbs/s. Oops, how wonderful my modem is!!!???

56K Bps?

If it is, it means 56*8=448K bps;
If it NOT, it means Bell骗人

Videotron不错是不错，就是不能租设备。有半年的用户历史的用户才可以租，我当时只有3个月，不得不买了个。
速度还行，用着挺好，不过每月限制流量是令人不爽。

有几个问题请教各位！我现在用的BELL上网！我和朋友用一个帐户会不会收双份钱呀？还有就是：如果要取消帐户是不是要收钱呢？
BELL实在是慢！所以想换CABLE！不知道初装费是多少，能不能同时看电视呢？谢了！

是啊，遗憾，查了一圈，电话打了若干，发现其他的不是要求买MODEM就是价格贵，最后好象还是BELL的价格最便宜（先放下速度不论），这其他公司凭什么和BELL竞争啊。最可气的明目张胆的在MONTREAL39.95,Toronto就29.95,真让人心理不平衡啊。

56K modem is only 56K bps(bite per second)!!! Trust me!!
