is there a simple way that i can check the hardware platform of a website.i mean which kind of server it is running.also,the web server software the site is operating!!!

just try to create folder called "con". The "con" folder only can be create under unix/linux os.

最简单的方法是：
用flashget从那个网站上下载一个文件，例如index.html, 没下完的时候中断传输，然后在“图表/日志”里就能看见那个网站的server/操作系统了

well,alotof sites.i already obtained the server software of these sites.what i need now is just the server hardware of them.

I have no idea how to get the server's hardware model. Frankly, I do not think there is a way.What I can get is the os the server is running, by knowing that, you can guess the server hardware.
