我有二台电脑，分别装有英文WIN ME和中文的WIN98操作系统，想联网共享高速INTERNET。最近买了4口HUB和网卡、网线等，但我是门外汉，不知该如何实现，请教各位前辈：二台不同操作系统的电脑是否可以联网呢？应该如何连线和实现呢？多谢。

如果你用HUB，那你就要把你一台机器（最好是比较好的一台）设置为主机，在TCP/IP里，设置IP，副机就设前三组相同，最后一组不同，就行了

开玩笑，两台机共享，用什么hub！

usb的也可以共享，主机装2k/xp，从机无所谓。
主从机个一个网卡.

主机接上usb猫后，在网络连接里会出现一个以你猫命名的网络适配器，把他共享出来就行了。从机不用设置

相信你的两台电脑都已安装网卡，网线三条已买，HUB，Sympatico寄来的MODEM，CD软件，电话滤波器等都已齐全。

不必ROUTER

二台电脑分别将网卡与HUB联线，HUB再与MODEM联线，二台分别各自安装sympatico的联网软件，即可。系统会要求重新开机。

记得室内的电话要透过SYMPATICO提供的滤波器，要不然会有杂音。

若欲二台电脑资源分享(SHARING)，依如下步骤：
Start > Setting > Control Panel > Networking > Click "File and Print Sharing..." tab > Check both "I want to be able to give others access to my files" & "I want to be able to allow others to Print to my printers(s) > Click "OK" , under Network window, click "Identification" tab, give an identical name(choose at your discretion) for both computers on Workgroup block
> Click "OK" return to Network window. > Click "OK" to complete the process.

You will be requested to insert the Windows CD suppose you didn't do the above process when installing Windows system. After installing, system will request to reboot the computer.

After rebooting the system :
For file sharing: Click "My Computer", or go to "Window Explorer", select the Disk or Folder you want to share with other computer, Right click it, select "Sharing...", lick "Shared as:", select "Share type" at your own discretion, click "OK", the seleted disk or folder can be shared by other computer in 2 second, you will view a hand-up icon on that disk/folder.


For printer sharing: Start > Setting > Printer, right click the printer you want to share by other computer, select "Sharing...", click "Shared as:", select "Share type" at your own discretion, click "OK", the seleted printer can be shared by other computer. You will view a hand-up icon on that printer. This computer with shared printer is set as the MASTER..
For another computer need to use the MASTER's printer : Start > Setting > Printer > Add printer, under "Add printer wizard" window, click "Next" > Click "Network printer" > Click "Browse", under "Browse a printer" window,
try to find the "Shared printer" on MASTER, click it, then click OK, system will install the printer driver from the MASTER, once it is installed, the work is done. This computer is set as CLIENT.

不建议上网一台作主机，一台副机，要不主机没开，副机也别想上网，不方便。既然HUB已买，也不贵，不过上一次馆子的价格,为何不用？两台分别独立作业，互不甘扰。

谢谢各位高手指点。我的情况是这样的：

我的电脑：一台装的是中文WIN98
          一台装的是英文WIN ME
因为二台电脑太老，速度慢，加上用的人多，所以想近期考虑再加一台新的电脑。

我买的是HUB 套装KIT：4口HUB，二个网卡，二条网线还有2个3.5寸磁盘。

现在关键问题是，我的Sympatico高速MODEM是USB接口的（据说现在的MODEM都是USB接口的），所以MODEM没有办法接到HUB。

由于不知道究竟如何接线和如何装驱动软件，所以买的HUB和网卡一直没有装，现在一直只能是一台电脑上网。不够用。
