Hi there:

Anyone know how to change the shut-down procedure in Windows 2000? because I cannot shut it down like Windows 98 or 95, you know you have to push the button to close the computer.

in control panel, there is an icon called "power management", check one checkbox, called "advanced power ......" (i forgot the exact name". click apply.
from now on, you can soft shutdown your machine. i am sure it works.
