I moved here last September, and prior to that I was working in US. The US company paid out my accumulated vacation days afte I arrived in Canada. So my question is, should I file the income from those vacation days as it was for the days I was working in US even though it was paid after my arrival here? My interpretation of the tax rule is that I have to file that income, but I would like to get some informative confirmation from this community.

To clarify, I was not a Canadian resident for tax purpose until I moved to Canada.

Many thanks.
