你好，各位你们是怎么看出来有些人不是OWNER而是DEALER呢？给车主付钱是用支票还是用现金呢？

开门见山，问他的车是支付 one tax or two tax
这主要是提防broker, 他们让你看车，感觉是私人车
但是在交易时要你交two tax ,你肯定在交易前交过定金甚至检车，这时你后悔就晚了！
我又两次差点上当。

Folks or other friends,

What do you think about changing the timing belt on every 100k? It will cost me at least $500 before tax on my 97 Acura. I have 110k on the car but still not change the timing belt yet. I may wait until next long vacation drive. What the consequnce could be if I hold too long time without changing? Thanks.

对了，不知道网上的广告是否和报纸上的相同？因为，我发现网上不止是周六那天有， 其他日子也有卖车广告。

各位我还有个问题，当买旧车的时候，向车主要什么号码（车牌号码）去那里查啊？查什么？做车检的时候是付钱以后还是以前啊？如果检查出与车主所说的不实，那怎么办啊？

Regarding the timing belt (100K) - you can still drive without changing it. However it affects the performace of the engine and gas consumption in the long term. If you are a slow driver (like those old Jewish women in Cote St. Luc) then you can keep on using it.  But if you are making a long-distance trip, I suggest you lavish this $ 500 (do it at your car dealer or Phil Bailey's garage - don't let Canadian Tire touch your car - timing belt is very critical and requires good skills to have it replaced.)

The car ads on Montreal Gazette's webiste are the same as the ones printed on its newspapers. As a matter of fact, the website also has old ads while the paper only has ads for that day.

1) 检查汽车必须要在付钱前进行,不然,如果车有大问题,你是无法拿回钱来的.
2) 有关车辆历史,除非你买 8000 圆左右的车,我想没有太大的必要去研究.重要的是车的平衡性/稳定性,发动机性能,刹车系统,锈,车身有无变形(如有,说明车有过大撞车-会影响车的寿命和高速稳定性).
3) VIN - 1991年后出的车多有一个系列号,一般在仪表盘上(挡封玻璃下)

如果车行查出有大问题,那就不买那辆车! 所以,不要在查车前交钱.你可以做有条件的成交
