Hi, who recently went to Ottawa for a US visa?
Do they mail you or let you pick your passport
the second day? The confirmation letter didn't say
it specifically. Not sure how long I will have to stay
at Ottawa, therefore hard for booking greyhound tickets?

OK, went there and got the visa.

In ottawa for people in canada,
they mail you passports.

They first give a form for canadian post
mail. If visa issued, the visa officer would
ask for that form.

I  would like to know if I can to pick it up at the same day afternoon?and where can I save my stuffs like purse,cell,etc?Thanks in advance!

cell phone is not allowed; I guess you don't have to bring those
stuffs to the embassy?

As I said, as long as you are in Canada, they will mail your
passport to you. I actually asked if I could pick the second afternoon
since I was staying there one more day, but the VO said no.
