1 twenty four seven (24/7)

twenty four seven是指每天营业、工作24小时，每周工作7天。也就是全天候不关门、全天候营业的意思。

例句：You can access our website 24/7.我们的网站全天候随时开放。I am working 24/7.我披星戴月，日夜劳作。（夸张的说法）

2 get the ball rolling

get the ball rolling指开始做某事，一般来说是指开始做某件工程或项目。

例句：If I could just get the ball rolling, then other people would help.如果我自己开始做这个项目，那么别人肯定会来帮忙。


3 Take it easy.

Take it easy.具体有三种用法。

1. 再见，保重（口语）Mary: Bye-bye.Bill: See you, Mary. Take it easy.玛丽：再见！比尔：再见玛丽。保重！

2. 和善一点，对别人nice一点

Sue: Then I want you to move the piano and turn all the mattresses.

Andy: Come on. Take it easy! I'm not made of steel, you know.

苏：我想让你搬钢琴，翻所有的床垫。

安迪：嘿！别要求那么高！我又不是铁打的！

3. 放松，relax。Andy: I am so mad I could blow my top!Rachel: Now, now. Take it easy.安迪：我太生气了！我要气炸了！瑞秋：知道了，知道了，放轻松点！


4 sleep on it

• 不想马上做决定，想等到明天再说。
  例句：
  
  

You don't have to give me your decision now. Sleep on it, and let me know tomorrow.

你没有必要现在给我答复。晚上好好想想，明天再告诉我。

2. 在做重大决定之前仔细考虑。      
例句：Don't give me an answer now - sleep on it and we can talk some more later in the week.你没有必要现在答复我，仔细考虑一下，我们过几天再聊。


5 I'm broke.

I'm broke是我没有钱的意思。如果你在国外上学你可能经常会听到这句话，因为外国学生一般都很穷。

例句：

Andy：Hey buddy, wanna go clubbing tonight?Bill：Sorry dude, I'm so broke.土豪：哥们儿，晚上去夜店吧！穷学生：去不了啊哥们儿，太穷了！


6 X o'clock sharp

数字+o'clock+sharp指几点钟整。

例句：

The meeting will start at

7 o'clock sharp! Don't be late!

会议将在7点整开始！不要迟到！

7 Like the back of my hand.

指对某事某物了如指掌。例句：I know this city like the back of my hand.我对这个城市了如指掌。


8 give sb. a hand

也可以说“lend a hand”，指帮助某人。

例句：If you have any trouble with your homework, I'll be glad to give you a hand.如果你不会做作业，我可以帮助你。

9 in ages

相当于N久，并不一定是很多年。

例句：I haven't seen him in ages!我N就没见他了！


10 sick and tired

"sick and tired"是指做某样不喜欢做的事过久而导致十分厌倦。用中文说就是，我都快干吐了！

例句：I am sick and tired of doing my home work.我写作业都快写吐了！
