根据1981年世界医学联盟在里斯本所作成的病人权利宣言（Declaration of Lisbon on the Rights of the Patient），病人应有以下权利：

• 获得良好质量之医疗照护的权利 (Right to medical care of good quality)
  
• 自由选择医疗方式的权利 (Right to freedom of choice)
  
• 自主决定的权利 (Right to self-determination)
  
• 获得个人病情信息的权利 (Right to information)
  
• 诊疗秘密被保守的权利 (Right to confidentiality)
  
• 获得卫生教育的权利 (Right to Health Education)
  
• 保有个人医疗尊严的权利 (Right to dignity)
  
• 获得宗教协助的权利 (Right to religious assistance)
  

病人权利最重要的观念是病人的生命为病人所有，病人有权利为自己的生命做最好的安排，社会应尊重并协助病人完成他(她)的选择，因此，从狭义观点来看，病人自主权就是病人的基本权利，从病人自主权可衍生出病人应有知情同意(informed consent)之权利。

以广义观点来看病人的权利时，社会应提供以下权利给病人：

医疗平等权、安全权、选择权、隐私权、求偿权、医疗文件收取权、医疗拒绝权、医疗尊严权。

除此之外，美国社会学家PARSONS从社会学角度提出病人的「两种权利与两种义务论」，所谓的两种权利是：病人有免除原先社会角色扮演之权利、与免于因病被责难之权利；当人生病时，可以暂时免除社会责任之履行，所以可以因病请假不上班不上学，藉以就诊疗养，以促进康复，工作单位不得无故拒绝，病人为了治疗，得要求社会提供妥善医疗照护；而社会负有协助其恢复健康之义务，尤其医疗工作人员更应以恢复病人健康为职责。病人本身当然也应该具有恢复健康之信念，相信自己所选择之医师，配合各项医疗处置，才能达到事半功倍之境。

这边惯例就是不给检查结果，但你可以打电话问。你强行要，人家就觉得不被信任了。

close your mouth if you don't know anything about the right of patient,please. Noone will think you as a muet, ok?

wherever you are, there always have rules tell you that the patient can get their examinal result unless they don't want it.

and i tell you that they give me my results in the end.

and i am complaining their service now.

去西人诊所看吧,我每年的体检,无论是哪个科目的检查,只要你想要检查结果,你就告诉他们我要一份检查结果考贝,他们很快就会给你,无需任何理由.

Surely, I had been to white people's clinic before.

But, as for this times, my friend--a chinese lady, she wanted to go carron clinic for she heard that carron clinic is good, and is also she who ordered a date for me in carron clinic.
For another hand, to me, I also want to know how about the quality of service of chinese clinics in Montreal. So disappointed!

I am so surprise to their bad service :eek!:

I really wonder why they can survive and they can earn money by illegal ways as well as by such a bad service in montreal:eek!:

In fact, there is not important role of family doctor.
Anyways, if you havn't problem, just ask for general examination, you can go any clinic.

First, go to the CLSC, ask a list of doctors,choose  one and go  the doctor  clinic.  that is.  

Second, tell the doctor what you want to do. You needn't to speak very well english, just the basical english is enough, let the doctor know what you want him to do for you.

Then, take the test form which the doctor gives to you, then go to the hospital where nearby your home to do the test.
The hospital will send your results report  to your doctor.

If you have some problems of health, the doctor will let you see the specialist, then you should wait for some times.
Or you also can go to the urgency of the hospital directly, but you might wait for a long  time to see a doctor.

Anyways, only do the biochemistry test can  give  you most important  information about your health. If your  test results are normal and you havn't abnormal feeling of your body. you need not worry about your health.

However, it is better for everbody to do an annual physical examination.
