Ladies and Gentlemen,

Here below are the procedures to make 4S for the hand I displayed days ago. In order to have an easy viewing, here again are the 4 dummies:
        -  -K, 6
        -  -A, 6
        -  -K, Q, J, 7, 6
        -  -K, 9, 7, 3

J, 5, 3 -----------------------A, 4
K, 8, 5 -----------------------Q, J, 10, 4, 3, 2
9, 5, 4, 2 --------------------A, 8, 3
Q, 10, 5 ----------------------6, 2
        -  -Q, 10, 9, 8, 7, 2
        -  -9, 7
        -  -10
        -  -A, J, 8, 4

01: West led H5, North got in with HA, followed by H3, and H7,
02: North played D6, East stopped it with DA, D10 from South and D4 from West,
03: East cashed his HQ, followed by H9, H8 and H6
04: East continued with H2, South ruffed in with S7, South had HK, North discarded a D or a C, whatever, doesn’t matter, let us say D7
05: South played S2, dummy got in with S6, West would not cover it with his SJ, East would duck. (It doesn’t help if East got in with his SA and played one more H, as dummy could over-ruff West’s SJ with his SK).
06 & 07: Dummy cashed his 2 top Ds, South discarded 2 small Cs from hand, both West and East had Ds to follow.
08: Dummy continued with DJ, East could ruff and play an H, but it did not help, (same reason as 5th round). So he discarded a small H or a small C, does not matter, South ruffed in with S8, West had a last D to follow,
09: South cashed his CA, West, Dummy and East all had Cs to follow,
10: South played one more C, entered into dummy with CK, West had C to follow, East could ruff if he discarded a small C on 8th round, but it did not help,
11: North played a small C, East ruffed or not, all the same. If he ruffed, South’s SQ and dummy’s SK were the last 2 winners to make 4S, if he discarded a H (in fact, East did discard his H10), South ruffed in with S9, West had his last C to follow.
12: Now South cleared trump. East got in, but South’s SQ killed West’s SJ! You made your 4S!!!

It is not an easy hand, even if in 4 dummies, and it is worth your efforts to have this hand before you and practise the procedures if you really like bridge. Actually, it was a real example from Group C in a World Champion held in Denmark. 15 out of 16 masters failed to make 4S. The only one who achieved it is Belladonna from Italy, and he played exactly as the above procedures!

那时候呀，我们的黄树安老先生不定从天堂里爬出来：我一辈子尽财尽力，还有三级政府支持，都未能将文化宫建立起来；你呀好小子，赤手空拳，建设两个文明， 还带文化的呢！鱼翅熊掌山珍海味都让你尝了，我尝个啥呀？---“负数” ？

山中无老虎，我就是想趁丁丁回国的时候谋权篡位, Downtown之心世人皆知。佛我是念不下去的，不到万不得已的时候我是不会临时抱佛脚。平时做个天上掉陷饼的黄粱美梦也不是不可以啊。文化无形，真正的佛不是在佛堂里，是在信徒的心中。
