Go to Mont-Royal, Cote-Saint-Luc, NDG, kirkland (West Island)etc. Westmount may be too expensive ! Do not try to change the area! You can not and do not able to. Good area is always good area! Bad area is always bad area. The money have decided for everything in North America! If you want to live a bad area and receive better service, no way! If you want your kids, grow up with educated people, go to the private school and live in the better area. It is only way ! I am living here more than four year and it is what I have got. Believe me this can save your time and your trouble!

So for new immigrant, you can have better life if you are living a good area! We do not scare the people who have not been here yet!

for an individual case and individual chinese, I agree with Jcell, but for a Chinese community, I don't think so. Surely, a community can change the atmosphere of the district--if we are solid enough!

我来这里才几个月，也听到并也亲身碰到过类似的事情发生，我认为决不能软弱，搬到别的地方住也不是解决的方法，我很赞成通过正常的渠道来反映我们中国人的声音，并要MONTREAL的政府和人民看到我们中国人的素质和力量，要他们重视这件事，并也重视我们的其他要求。越软弱越无声无息我们华人以后在其他任何事情上都不会受到重视。这个时候需要我们团结！
在美国有许多墨西哥人，他们大多都没有受过较高的教育，但他们很团结。如果有一个墨西哥人看到发生车祸，当他看到其中有一个是墨西哥人，他都会牺牲自己的时间主动出来做证，当然是向着墨西哥人。而有些华人看到类似的事情发生都只是看热闹，既是看到有华人在其中是受害者也不愿出来做证，生怕惹事。
我们来到加拿大，是一个少数族裔，最需要我们做的就是团结。我们团结了，将我们的声音反映出来，加拿大政府和人们才会重视我们，我们及我们的后代才会有好的社会环境。

请大家收集证据.有照片最好,这样大家一起去警察局汇报案情.我的案子是这伙小孩一起朝我扔石头,把我的脚给砸了,当时我也报了警,警察让我下回要留证据,这样才能找他们麻烦!警察说有照片就可以有录象更好!也确实,他们的脸孔在我们的眼里都差不多,很容易搞错!所以这张反映他们为非作歹照片是解决这件问题的唯一钥匙!!请被袭击地带的人们做好准备!!!

这问题别的区也一样存在，所以这不光是某个区的问题，而是日渐普遍的倾向。所以我们一方面要警觉，保护好自己和家人，另一方面，同意各位的观点，用联名写信或其他方式捍卫我们的权利。

最好的办法是黑对黑，找两三个中国人寻机会引诱他们一个或两个到一个没人的地方狠狠地臭揍一顿并威胁一番。让他们只知道是中国人干的，但又抓不到人。相信以后这些人不敢再欺负中国人，比之报警更俱威摄力！其实这里的野孩子胆都很小，跟中国的野孩子没法比。
