Logic
Actually, you are interested in fighting with me, because if you followed a level of logic that is reflective of a higher education, you would notice that all of your new “arguments”, once again, have no basis. You claim to list just the facts, but you list them in a manner designed to attack. The sentence fragment “If I can read the Chinese newspaper…” is in and of itself grammatically correct. The article “the” denotes a specific Chinese newspaper: the newspaper that SQMedia was referring me to. Therefore, since I am referring to a specific newspaper, the article “the” is required to illustrate that. I am sure that someone with your level of education can understand this logic.
While we are on the topic of logic, please refrain from challenging me in an area that is clearly not your area of expertise: English or logic. Actually, your English is not too bad, and far better than my Mandarin (of which I know none). However, it is not nearly on the same level as mine. Thus, you should not be challenging my English, just as I would never challenge your Mandarin. Logically, when one has demonstrated superiority in a certain area, the person interested to learn should defer. Hopefully, even through fighting with me you will learn.
P.S. That is great that you claim to have a publication in the British Journal of Pharmacology (1997)! Unfortunately, I was unable to find any publication under the name of cloudrain2000. =(. If you would like, you can refer to The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (2005), under the title “Hemodilution and surgical hemostasis contribute significantly to transfusion requirements in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass”. You already have my name. Alternatively, I can provide you with a .pdf copy if you like.
You say that you do not like the way your Chinese fellows were treated by me. I did not treat them badly. If you follow the logic and the flow of conversation, who was the one who attacked who first? Who created the problem and who was on the defensive? In terms of correcting the English, if people are interested to question my ability, and are so quick to judge from a typographical error, then obviously they require a clear and solid demonstration. You seem to require multiple demonstrations; thus, it appears as if you are just not interested in having peaceful conversations. Furthermore, someone with your level of education and “logical ability” would have noticed that I did indeed inform everyone that my wife posted the message. Furthermore, I never wrote that Hubei was a typographical error; instead, I wrote that I was unsure how to spell it because I am not familiar enough with China. Everyone else seems to understand this, why don’t you? You should carefully re-read my posts. That is why you are the only one who continues to question, because unfortunately you are the only one who did not understand. That is alright, I can take this opportunity to explain it to you. As one educated individual to another, I would offer a piece of advice on logic: in order to be truly logical, one must carefully examine all of the facts and evidence before rushing to judgment. One who rushes to judgment out of emotion and partial information is not logical, for emotions are in and of themselves not always rational processes, and using only part of the available information creates an imbalanced view.
It is really a shame that some people do not wish to create a warm and open atmosphere for the fun exchange of language. So what if some small error in writing was committed in the earlier messages? Subsequent messages have obviously cleared up that misunderstanding! You claim that “in the future you are not interested to reply to my posts”, but this is typically the logic of a child who is angry that he or she did not get what she wanted and then decides to throw a temper tantrum. Please, control your emotions and let us discuss things together as adults, in a civilized and peaceful manner! We are all mature here. I welcome any stories you may have about the differences and similarities between Canada and China… |
