We are currently looking into hiring a Marketing Assistant to work the night shift for our Chinese project. This will be a contract position for 6 months.
The Marketing Assistant will provide support to the Marketing Department. Duties include general research, clerical and project-based work. Main focus of this position is the China market. The Marketing Assistant will project a professional image of Kitco's brand through in-person and on-the-phone interaction with different business partners. This is a part-time, night shift, 6 months contract position with the possibility of extending the contract.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of the China Marketing Plan
- Perform promotional functions, including but not limited to: maintaining blogs, promoting the company and company material through email and phone interactions
- Initiate contacts and conduct follow-ups with Chinese websites and companies in precious metals and related industries for promotional purposes
- Assist in market-related research
- May perform some translation (English to Chinese and vice versa) functions
- Assist with the Chinese website content management (i.e. contents sourcing, posting to the website, organize online events)
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Mandarin (Chinese) – essential
- Good MSOffice software proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Very good oral and written communication skills in English
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Detail oriented and able to follow instructions thoroughly
- Flexible and able to multitask to a great degree
- Customer service experience a plus
