Josphie:
I have ever changed the CV. bush and the driving axle. TO change all the set of driving axile (2), cost about 150$*2 + ~2hr labour in common garage.
and in Canadian Tire, one driving axle plus CV bush in another side, it costs about 350$ (part and labour, tax included).
It is suggested if the CV bush is worn, better to change the whole axle, since it may break soon, and then the change of CV boot you have done will have to be discarded.
Since you hear the sound when car turns left, the CV bush is suspected to be worn and it should be check when the car is lifted, by a mechanic.
Go to a trusted garage, or Canadian Tire ( different center may be different, some are also not good; again, select the trusted one).
I have the axle changed but found iol leak after the work was done in a vitenamese, then i never go there, and visit Canadian Tire (center on 4225? Jean-Talon), now it dosen't leak any more.
good luck. |
