虚弱的加拿大,终于一枚金牌或银牌进账,告别光头。这个Calgary 大学的女学生挺猛,在摔跤这种中亚的强项突围了。 金牌拿到!还是个华人。看看介绍吧!
For Carol Huynh – whose surname sounds like “win” – the Olympics is a journey back to her family's ancestry. Her parents, mother Mai Trinh and father Viem Huynh, were born in China and grew up in Vietnam before moving to Canada.
Huynh's hometown is Hazelton, B.C., the same town that provided the last Olympian in her weight class of 48 kg. They'd wrestled together at Simon Fraser University, but Lindsay Belisle beat her out for Canada's first women's Olympic team. Huynh made it her dream to get the spot this time.
“My parents are both coming here to watch me, and they'll be proud to be both Chinese-born and Canadians,” she said.
