[手机] 现有Bell的住宅电话 -$2.5 or ~-10/mth (有点麻烦的)

My Experience: 6 times, got $175 credit + $15 more to come

6a) Sept. 14, 09 - called 514-310-BELL . . .  CS, they could not remove the LD package.  Need to wait till my promotion end on Oct. 14.

6b) Oct. 15, 09 - call 514-310-BELL . . . .  CS gave me $5x3, claimed no more $25 discount (I don't believe it, but too lazy to call again). [color="Red"](6th time)  

For those of u who want to try, call 1-866-623-3922  .  .  .  asked for "Loyalty Dept".   Have fun!

* I still don't understand the whole thing, following are my experience *
1) March 26, 08 -  Retention Dept. - $25(4/08) + -$5x3(4-6/08). [color="Red"](1st time)

2) July 22, 08 - Loyalty/Promotion Department - $-$25(8/08) +-$5x3(8-10/08) [color="Red"](2nd time)

3a)  Oct. XX - Loyalty Dept. - the girl tried (-$40 again) but too early to put new set of credit on system.  Suggested me to call again few days before Billing, i.e. ~end of month for me.

3b)  Oct. 30 - Loyalty Dept. - the guy was in bad mood, told me he couldn't continue to give me credit.

3c) Nov. 19, 08 - Loyalty Dept. , girl said 3 months $18.41.  I didn't want to continue talk talk :frown:, assumed that there will be -$25 at the end of 3 months, MISTAKE.  Only got -$5x3, total $15 only. [color="Red"](3rd time)

4) March 17, 09 - Called 1-866-623-3922  .  .  .  transferred to "romotion Dept", another -$25 +-$5x3. [color="Red"](4th time)

Just called them, I was told that this prom was over 3 months ago and I didn't even get $5*3 even though I tried so hard.

The only prom they offered is 5$off*6 with 12-mth contract. I didn't take it...

Which # did u called?  If 514-###, try 1-866-623-3922 again.  If u called the 1-866##, then . . . . .  u can try calling again, a different agent may give it to u.

514-310-BELL connect to Montreal office, they don`t give that anymore, I guess.  THANKS for the update!

p.s. u may want to check out Primus, their landline is ~$2or $3 cheaper than Bell per month.  Few months ago:  no connection fee, $50 diconnection charges IF u cancel phone in less than 12 months.

I received the bill from Bell and it says they are gonna raise 2$/month by Jan. 2010 for home package plan...

Reminder/提醒

1.  Those of u who take the 1 or 2 years contract ==> your contract MAY be renewed AUTOMATICALLY upon finish, with or without rebate.

2.  Those of u who take the Home Phone Package like mine ==> require 30 days cancellation notice.

I still don't know how to deal with this problem, will keep u guys update if I have any news.

有个问题想问问你,如果我想搬家移机的话,有没有可能和bell谈谈免了我的移机费用?或是可以拿到一些别的好deal?我只有bellHome Phone Package 服务,没有其他别的任何服务with bell。

Bell Deactivation Charge, $15.96+2 taxes

We cancelled our service with Bell in Dec. 09.  I told the Customer Service to leave a NOTE in our file, something like ~going to Primus Jan. x (this served as our 30 days' notice to Bell).   Got final bill  ~end of Jan. with an additional charge of Home Phone Deactivation Charge $15.96 +2 taxes.  Gave Bell a quick call, mentioned the NOTE in our file, Bell removed the $15.96 charge.

NOTES:
1.  ** [color="Red"]NOT disconnection order ** -  In order for Primus to "~pick up our line"(=we keep our old phone#), Bell's line [color="red"]CANNOT be disconnected.  

2.  Unexpected no line :mad: #*!"/)%$%") :mad: about 1 week after our call, all a sudden, no dial tone.  Call Bell, then call Primus, then call Bell, then  . . .  . . .  Took about 1 day to figure things out, Bell reconnected our phone in less than 30 minutes.

Happened again ~1 week later, :mad: call . . .  call  . . .  call . . .  Just told Primus to pick up our line right away.  Done within 24 hours.  (Everything was done through the 2 companies' centres) :mad: #%")*%?$+"?+"/ :mad:

No charge for calling both companies on payphones.

Primus $23.37+ 60 Aeroplan/month, tax included

It took us a long time to switch company . . . . . .  just because we needed time to decide on whether we want internet at home.  Our final decision . . . . only BASIC home phone.  Now with Primus:

1.  Local Phone Service {[$19.97 +$0.40(911)]+5%GST+7.5%QST}+$0.40(911)=$23.37/month total.
(there are 2x$0.40 911 charges, one taxed + one not taxed.)

2.  Get 60 Aeroplan Miles each bill (3 miles/$1 before tax).  U can get Airmiles instead of Aeroplan, your choice.

3a.  Welcome Bonus 1 - there's something from Airmiles/Aeroplan, your choice.  Believe u get more ?miles if u apply on line.  Promotion changes overtime, check www.primus.ca youself.

For us, they told us somthing, we havn't got any.  Doesn't matter to me.  Must be some fine line on giving them credit card or somthing that I didn't do.

3b.  Welcome Bonus 2 - there's some discount and free services (e.g. call waiting).  I didn't take any.  Didn't want to be bothered to call again after promotion.

4.  Long Distance - there's a network charge of $3.95 or $5.95/mth if u call long distance.  U have choiceS on how long distance is blocked, only local, only overseas . . . .  I told them to block everything.  Glad I did that, I've made few mistakes . . . .  hi hi!  If I didn't block LD, would have been charged a few times of those $5.95 . . . .

5.  +$1 for paper billing - I chose to get electronic billing.

6.  $0 installation fee, but ~$50 if service is cancelled within 12 months.

7.  Requires ~30 days notice for disconnection .  But they keep line for X days for next company to pick up.

Now I'm happy!!
