McGill student handbook pg 73
I copy some of the information here in case u don't have the handbook.
in canada, abortion is a legal and safe procedure offered in a wide range of clinics. It's best if abortions occur during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Either by vaccum aspiration (quick, painless) or medical abortion (takes about 4 hours but need follow-ups in subsequent weeks)
Go and buy a home pregnancy test kit form a pharmacy, if the test postitive, schedule a visit with a physician to doublecheck. Once ur pregnancy is confirmed, you'll need to undergo a pelvic exam with a physician to estimate how long you have been pregnant.
Before u get abortion, you must undergo consultation, sign the appropriate documents and arrange a payment plan.
Suggested clinic in the handbook: Morgentaler Clinic
Monday to Saturday, student rates avaliable
tel: 514-8444844
call them to make an appointment, tell them you need to have a pregnancy check and the doctor and nurse will tell you how to deal with the rest. Good luck. |
