After a stressful day, I found myself, here I mam, grudgingly involved in this apparently controversial subject, which has apparently given rise to heate, opinioned argument and a barrage of attacks between the two sides. I have to wonder whether this is all that necessary. Correct me if I'm wrong, each one of us has the tendancy to be a perfectionist, and yet, as human beings, sadly, we can never be perfect. There's always dark sides or sins -- to use a religious term (albeit I always try to maintain a fairly liberal position)-- inherent in ourselves from top politicians down to everyone of us ordinary citizens, rase, sex, religion and nationality notwithstanding. One cannot deny that criminals and perpetrators exist and crimes and corruption are committed, indiscriminately, in every corner of this mundane world. Are those criminals or bad guys "exclusively" Chinese or Canadians or Americans? The proper answer must be definitely in the negative. In any rate, the issues we are debating in this forum has no comparison with the most important legal issues surrounding such as capital punishment, abortion, or discrimination against sexual orientation, to name but a few. There's absolutely nothing wrong to launch an argument and claim your position. But I wonder whether we should not try to learn to be a good, effective critic or at least try not to use abusive language to attack someone personally. Hey, my dear cyberspace writers and readers, why don't we be light-hearted, go to another forum, crack silly jokes or talk something that would make us feel joyful and entertaining? I'll talk you later. |
