Read the message from STL. I do not agree with what STL said. STL is mixing 2 different matters together and he/she is uttering his/her opinion with an attitude, which are not right.
First, people are talking about the service quality of the Montreal Chinese Service Center & the Hua Association. Since it is a government funded non-profit organization for the purpose of helping the Chinese immigrants merging into the new society of Canada, every Chinese here as new immigrant has the right to be served with full quality. If the service is not good enough, we should make it good, if it is not good at all, we should ask the government to change it( personel & system). This country has decided to have immigrants and it has decided to give some money to help the new immigrants. It is a great thing for the country to do in order to keep the quality of the Canadiansanf the country as a whole. So, the new Chinese should be helped. If the organizations are having money from the government but doing fuck-all, they are wasting the taxe payers money for nothing!!!!! The Chinese who ask for THE SERVICE they should get have done nothing wrong at all. It has nothing to do with the question of paying taxes or not at this point. If they are new, of course they have no jobs, therefore they will not pay taexs for a while. I AM NOT SAYING that those OLD Chinese immigrants who have been here more than 5 years, having revenues but paying 0.00 taxes plus they are still enjoying the government social aid or child support are correct. They are parasites of the society. Any society will be CORRUPTED if we have too many of these parasites. BUT, it is another question which has NOTHING much directly to do with asking the RIGHT Service to help the New Chinese.
Second: STL has an attitude and this quite angry attitude comes only from his illogical judgement of this matter. STL should be angry about any immigrants who do not pay taxes 5 years after they landed (not only Chinese from mainland China do not pay taxes. Older Chinese from Hong Kong, Taiwan and other nations, as well as some quebecois, too). Chinese who do not pay much taxes are those in cash business or self-employed. Most people here, (not only Chinese) who are in these business have conveniences of paying less taxes). I agree that Chinese from Mainland China had no experience of paying income taxes because "The Communist China" has a very short and effective history of Taxes Management, and I agree on this point that Chinese have this psycholgical problem of letting things go, especially MONEY to people or government that they do not know and they just want to sweep the snow from the front of their own doors). But, There are mainland Chinese who are holding jobs like senior progammers & engineers AND they are paying taxes!!! Plus, Maniland Chinese are smart and kindhearted people. When they realize things they should do, I believe that they will slowly follow up. So please, this TSL, do not discriminate the New Chinese from the "Communist Country" as pethetic, stupid & poor people who deserve nothing and have no right here. So I think STL should be careful with his comments later. Think well, than say it with a consulting attitude, not with this angry, descriminating & humiliating attitude.
I pay taxes. I say these to STL NOT because I am those who do not pay taxes and I do not think avoiding paying taxes illegally is right. But, STL should not mix 2 different subjects together and give comments in this descriminating & humiliating way about mainland Chinese. Hope that STL hears my opinions and adjusts his/her opinions and attitude.
Have a nice Sunday!:p  |
