"实际上就是政府帮你出10%首付" it's only available at projects offered by SHDM(Société d'habitation et de développement de Montréal), like me, if I buy the project of Samcon, I can't get that benifit from gov. "只能用于买condo, 而且价格要低于一定的数量。" all the projects of SHDM are condo, there is no price limit on it. no matter what price you buy, as long as it's SHDM's project, gov. will pay 10% downpayment for you at the begining. you don't pay the interest, but when you sell your condo, you have to pay the 10% of profit + 10% downpayment that gov. paid for you before. This program is very good for new immigrat ppl, who don't have high credit in the bank, gov. help them to pay the downpayment.

another help I have mentioned before is gov.'s help to the one who buy the new condo or house. this help is available to all the projects as long as it's new project. you can get $6,500 (for households without children) or $10,000 (for households with a child), check will received 2-3 month after you sign the notary, However, there are 3 conditions,
1. you are first time home buyer
2. the condo/house you buy is not for business(rent) , you will live there for at least 3 years, if you want to sell your house, you only can sell it after 3 year.
3. price limit, Aurora has mentioned below For households with no children, the value of the unit may be as much as $180,000; for households with a child, the value of the unit may be up to $235,000.
This help will change every year, started by last year, above information will be only valid by the end of this year. no one knows next year, this program will continue or stop
