A judge set the bail in the Maryland case at $1 million, although the prosecution originally asked it to be set at $4 million.
Anderson paid $100,000 in cash Monday, allowing him to be released from jail, said Jane Robison, a press secretary at the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. Combined with the earlier bail from his California case, Anderson has now paid a total of $1.6 million in cash and bonds.
In California, Anderson has been indicted on six felony counts, including one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 and five counts of committing a lewd act on a child. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
If convicted on all counts in the California case, Anderson will face more than 20 years in prison, Robison said.
For the Maryland case, Anderson is facing four charges of child abuse, one charge of second-degree sex offense, one charge of third-degree sex offense and one charge of perverted practice.
These charges could carry a maximum sentence of 96 years if served consecutively. Anderson will have to be extradited to Maryland before he can be indicted on these charges.
The prosecution later attempted to have bail revoked in the California molestation case against Anderson, but was unsuccessful.
"(On Tuesday,) Judge Teri Schwartz denied the prosecution's motion to revoke bail in our case," Robison said.
In light of the new accusations, Anderson's pretrial hearing for the California case, which was originally set for Feb. 17 has been postponed until March 17 and will take place in Pasadena.
He will most likely face trial in California before he is sent to Maryland, Robison said.
